Chennai Floods: AIMIM Donated Over Rs. 4 Crores Aid to the Flood Affected Victims
Hyderabad: The All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) President Barrister Asaduddin Owaisi donated over Rs. 4 crores aid to the flood affected victims of Chennai. AIMIM contributed relief materials like food packets, water bottles, general medicines, clothes, blankets, shawls, sanitary napkins, diapers, umbrellas, utensils, mosquito nets, candles, torch, shoes etc.
AIMIM members and party workers from Hydrabad, Bangalore, Mumbai, Aurangabad, Krishnagiri, Kerala, Coimbatore, Vellore, Delhi, Pune, Hosur, Salem, Kadappa, Nellore and other parts of India collectively have sent over 45 trucks of flood relief materials under the banner of Chennai Flood Relief Camp.
A large team comprising party corporators and party workers distributed general medicines as well as food kits consisting of essential commodities and clothing to affected people. AIMIM also organised free medical camp where specialised doctors treated thousands of flood affected patients.
Earlier AIMIM had contributed Rs 78.75 lakh towards relief funds for Uttarakhand flood victims. Also the party contributed Rs 6 lakh to the Prime Minister’s National Relief Fund (PMNRF) for those affected in the natural calamity that struck Uttarakhand.
Apart from cash contribution, AIMIM had distributed basic medicines worth Rs 20 lakh to the flood victims. Around 5,000 kits comprising essential commodities, clothing and bedding worth Rs 52.75 lakhs were distributed to people in affected areas of Uttarakhand.
