AIMIM will Provide Legal Aid to Hyderabad ISIS Suspects – Asaduddin Owaisi
Hydrabad: All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) chief Asaduddin Owaisi on Friday announced his party would provide legal aid to five ISIS suspects arrested from Hyderabad. “It seems a certain section of the media has forgotten that the concept of ‘innocent until proven guilty’ is enshrined in our legal system” Owaisi said.
“Tomorrow, if these boys are found not guilty, who will return their life to them? We don’t support terrorism. We will stand in front if somebody attacked India,” He said, addressing a gathering at the historic Mecca Masjid in Hyderabad on the occasion of the last Friday of Ramzan.
“I spoke to senior lawyer of Nampally criminal courts Abdul Azeem and told him that the families of suspects came to me. I told them that we will give them legal help,” Owaisi told.
Asaduddin Owaisi pointed out that the AIMIM was the first to denounce the ISIS, accused the Centre of double standards in dealing with different hues of terror. He accused the Centre of going soft on the accused in the Mecca Masjid and Ajmer blast cases. He denounced the ISIS as murderers, rapists and worse than terrorists and added that Islam has nothing to do with terrorism. “I pray to Allah that he finishes the ISIS ideology,” he said.
Owaisi challenged Prime Minister Narendra Modi to speak out against those who force-fed cow dung and urine to Muslim men in Haryana. “Jokers, cowards from your organization beat them and fed them gobar”, he said. “Haryana has your government. Will you condemn this? Why won’t you speak against this? Will the home minister speak against this? Will the CM condemn this? Will they get arrested?”
