Stop Azaan, ‘We Are In Power Now’, Hate Posters Thrown At UP Mosques
BAREILLY: A hate pamphlets have been found in two mosques of Bareilly district to provoke communal tension.
According to Hindustan Times report, the hate-posters undersigned by ‘all Hindus’ asking Muslims residents not to use loudspeakers for the azaan (Muslims call Prayer) while offering namaz.
This pamphlet is expected to be thrown Thursday night at the mosque located in Subhash Nagar area of the city. On Friday morning, people saw it when they mosque opened.
The inflammatory pamphlets thrown inside two mosques read, “Muslims should learn to behave themselves now as our government has come to power. Stop using loudspeakers for praying or else we will not let Namaz be held at both the mosques. It’s not merely a warning.”
Superintendent of police (city) Sameer Saurabh, said a case against unknown people have been registered and begin an investigation to get nab the culprits.
Earlier in the month, dozens of posters appeared in Jianagla village asking its Muslim residents to “leave immediately” by year-end.
The message, in Hindi, said that “with BJP in power in Uttar Pradesh Hindus of the village would do what US president Trump was doing to Muslims in that country”.
